The Government told the jury the closest Saint Clair got to the United Nations was an apartment office across the street. Here is that sentence set against the record: the witnesses, the photographs, the UN’s own documents, and the official who was there in 2006 and again in 2019.
The prosecutor’s words to the jury in rebuttal summation, the last argument the jury heard before deliberating. Exactly as the transcript records them: “Ladies and gentlemen, at bottom, during 2017 to 2019 when Asa Saint Clair was at the WSA, the closest he got to the UN was having an apartment office across the street.” (Tr. 1087) Exhibit C, filed with the motion, plots the record against it, with Saint Clair at the center and each ring a step farther from the United Nations.

In 2006, as Executive Director of the UN Fund for International Partnerships, he took part in the ECOSOC meeting that launched WSA (DX 11 at 214). He wrote that he looked forward “to the continued practical outputs of the ‘World Sports Alliance’ to propel the development goals of United Nations even further!” (PX 888) In April 2019 he stood with Saint Clair outside UN headquarters (PX 879). Schatz has sworn he introduced the two that year. (ECF 135 at 50 ¶ 14)
